ICCC Annual Awards
The ICCC initiated an awards program in 1992 to publicly acknowledge the achievements and contributions of Indo-Canadians to different spheres of public life in Canada. The categories in which the Chamber bestows recognition are:

Lifetime/Outstanding Achievement Award
2012:
Dr. Pawan Singal
- Professor of Physiology and is Director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences St. Boniface Hospital and the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg.
- Internationally known for his work on oxidative stress and heart failures, Dr. Singhal has made significant contributions in our understanding of heart failure due to a variety of causes, particularly as a side effect of the anticancer drugs in breast cancer patients.
- Dr. Singhal is known for his leadership role in bringing together people with very diverse languages, cultures, religions and social practices for a common cause.

Chandrakant Sachdev
- Chandrakant Sachdev was born and raised in Kenya. Upon his arrival in Canada in 1980, he started the Rainbow Group of Companies
- Chandrakant is well-known in the community for his dedicated volunteerism and services at the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and BAPS Charities Inc.
- He is the President of the Canadian Museum of Cultural Heritage of Indo-Canadians, which is Canada's premier museum dedicated to showcasing / promoting the understanding of the history, civilization, diversity and cultural heritage and ancestry of Indo-Canadians.

Harpreet Sethi
- Harpreet Sethi turned an entrepreneur at a callow age of 16 and became a top-selling textile distributor by 19. He is a natural born leaders with a knack for start-ups, and has pursued many opportunities namely in real estate, software development, construction, hospitality and events.
- Harpreet is innovative, tenacious and entrepreneurial and turned a home furnishing business into a multimillion dollar company within a couple of year, and his start-ups in furniture and textile industries to over a billion dollars in turnover and across 20 countries.
- Harpreet has been bestowed with several honours in recognition of his business acumen and contributions to the humanitarian causes.

Dr. Madhur Anand
- Dr. Anand is an ecologist with research accomplishments ranging the spectrum of theoretical to empirical studies of natural and human-induced changes in ecosystems at local, regional and global scales with an emphasis on forests
- Dr. Anand directs the Global Ecological Change Laboratory at the University of Guelph. She is the President of the Sigma Xi Scientific Society which raises the profile of many different scientific disciplines
- She was named as Young Scientist of the World Economic Forum which places emphasis on the broader implications of science in society.

- MyVoice has nearly 12,000 users in over 30 countries; he and his team aim to make MyVoice the best and most widely used communication aid in the world.

- Under his leadership ICICI Bank Canada has become one of the fastest growing banks in Canada, and is one of the parent company's most profitable foreign subsidiaries. In 2012, it is a full-service direct bank that has an asset base of about $5.3billion as of March 31, 2012 and serves more than 250,000 customers.
- Sriram has a long and distinguished business career that spans more than 15 years, two continents and a variety of senior management positions; he serves many boards of not-for-profit and charity organizations.

Preeti Saran
- After obtaining her Masters Degree in English literature, Preeti Saran joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1982. Before taking up her assignment as Consul General of India in Toronto, Mrs. Saran was the Joint Secretary in Ministry of External Affairs, heading the Northern Division and handling India's bilateral relations with Nepal and Bhutan.
- She has held varied assignments both as headquarters in New Delhi and in Indian missions abroad, ranging from political, cultural, press and information and economic and commercial work.
- In New Delhi, she has served in different divisions in the Ministry of External Affairs, including the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the Americas Division, the East Asia and Establishment.

Kasi Rao
- Kasi Rao is a consultant providing strategic guidance to broader public and private sector organisations on matters pertaining to higher education, government relations, business development and policy issues, with a particular focus on India. In his capacity as Senior Advisor on India, he advises the Bennett Jones team on developing and implementing India-related strategies.
- Kasi has a diverse professional background. In 2005, he led a collaborative initiative relation to the automotive sector, as the founding Executive Director of the Beacon Project at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
- In 2008, Kasi authored Ontario-India Relations: The Infrastructure Dimension, a report for the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. He is a senior fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
