Business Development

Mandate

• To promote business ties between Canada and India, including but not limited to, joint ventures & investment, organizing trade delegations and other areas of collaboration.  Advance our economic ties with India, China, Brazil, Russia - One nation at a time!
  
• To be able to offer advice to Governments with respect to policies and programs affecting Canada's relations with India in the business sector and to serve as a forum for exchange of  information and views between small Industry of Canada and India on issues of importance to both countries.
  
• To provide information and advice to small industry from both countries with respect to trade and investment matters in either country and to conduct programs and carry out research designed to promote trade, investment & economic relations between Canada and India.
  
• To mobilize resources online via the internet using social networking tools to foster an awareness and the development of a 'Business community' for sharing information between ICCC, and other likeminded groups in India and Canada to 'connect' with each other.
  
• To create "Business for Sale" information and develop an interactive database that can be utilized within the Business community to benefit users in both countries.
  
• Arrange seminars to educate Canadian businesses on doing trade with India and seminar to educate Indian businesses on doing trade with Canada.
  
• Connect with the corporate world, ongoing consultations with other allied organizations, federal and provincial governments in Canada and union and state governments in India, ICCC sponsors and key stakeholders.
  
• Identify key industry sectors such as: Energy and Gas, Auto Parts, Food processing, Pulses, Education, Information Technology and Mining.
  
• To deliver value by personally visiting and/or meeting every member Institution at least once a year to share sector updates, discuss membership benefits, solicit feedback and share potential opportunities.
