Mentoring

An initiative of the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), The Mentoring Partnership is an alliance of community organizations that deliver the program and corporate partners that provide mentors. Through the program, mentors give 24 hours of their time over a four-month period.

Mentors help their mentees navigate the job search process by sharing their knowledge, experience and professional networks. Meanwhile, mentors develop coaching and leadership skills, become more aware of the issues new immigrants face and help to support a new immigrant as they contribute to the Canadian economy and society. The program is offered to new immigrants in the City of Toronto, Peel Region, York Region and Halton Region.
