NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Date: Tuesday, June 29, 2010
Time: 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Cost for ICCC members : Free to paid members only
Cost for non-members : Cannot attend
Location: Gibson Ballroom 2nd floor Novotel Hotel 3 Park Home Ave North York
Directions: Above the North York Subway in the same complex as North York Library near Mel Lastman Square North York

Light refreshments will be served.
There is no charge for attendance.

Agenda for AGM

Call to order:

1. Approval of Minutes of 2009 AGM (Copies will be available at the meeting)
2. President’s Message and Board Report
3. Auditor’s Report (Copies of the financial statements for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010, will be available at the meeting)
4. Appointment of Auditor and authorization of Board to fix Auditor’s remuneration
5. Election of Directors to fill vacancies on the Board of ICCC

 The Board of the Chamber consists of 9 Directors elected by the members at the Annual General Meeting and 4 Directors appointed by the Board. The term of office of the elected Directors is 2 years, and that of the appointed Directors is 1 year.

The following 4 elected Directors in the middle of their two-year term (who were elected at the 2009 AGM) and will continue till the end of their elected term:

• Asha Luthra
• Imtiaz Seyid
• Yatendra Shah
• Pankaj Mehra

There are 5 vacant positions on the board.

The following 4 directors finished their 2 year elected term and are planning to run again for another 2-year term.

• Vinay Nagpal
• Satish Thakkar
• Jim Sahdra
• Kundan Joshi

The following 1 nominated / appointed director has expressed interest in seeking an elected position. He is:

• Gautam Nath

Rina Gill has completed two consecutive terms of 2 years and is not seeking reelection.

Any additional nominations received will be added to the ballot.

Further changes in the number of vacancies may occur if some of the elected Directors should choose to resign prior to the end of their two-year term and the AGM.

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE NOMINATIONS FOR DIRECTORSHIPS FROM OUR MEMBERS. IN ORDER TO RUN FOR A DIRECTORSHIP, PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN THE ENCLOSED NOMINATION FORM TO THE CHAMBER’S OFFICE NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM ON TUESDAY, JUNE 8, 2010. NOMINEES MUST BE MEMBERS FOR AT LEAST ONE YEAR.

Note 1: The Nominee, the Proposer and Seconder must be paid-up members. If you are unsure as to whether you are paid up, please call the ICCC office. Membership payments can be accepted by Credit Card.

Note 2: The Nomination process is now closed. The Nomination Committee has accepted the following 10 nominations from a total of 13:

PROXY: IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND IN PERSON, YOUR VOTE IS STILL IMPORTANT. PLEASE APPOINT ANOTHER MEMBER ATTENDING IN PERSON AS YOUR PROXY. THE PROXY FORM IS ATTACHED. A PERSON CAN CARRY NO MORE THAN 5 PROXIES. PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN THE PROXY FORM NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM ON FRIDAY JUNE 25 2010.

 6.Committee Reports: There will be a brief report on some of the highlights from our committees. Young Professionals (YP), Small and Medium Enterprise (SME), IT, Trade, Golf, Cricket, Events and Marketing and Communications.

ICCC strongly encourages members who are interested in volunteering with the ICCC or any of its committees to identify themselves prior to the Annual General Meeting. The AGM will be an excellent informal opportunity to network and discuss Committee plans and opportunities. Even brand-new members are welcome to work with our Committees as volunteers.
